    22/01/2025Registration is now open for our next RYA Day Skipper Shorebased class starting later this year. This is subject to demand and hopefully run for 8 weeks. You can Register here to reserve your place.  Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The full timetable will be published nearer the time. If you require any further information please email info@stmss.co.uk or call 07802 208090 to talk through your requirements so we can see what RYA training is best for you. The will be held at Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre, Tompkin Road, Stanley, Stoke-on-Trent, ST9 9LY. The cost will be £310 and includes a course pack (Training Charts, RYA Shorebased Handbook, Training Exercises), Training Almanac (Day Skipper only), Course Notes, tuition, exam fees, and certificate. If you would like to start your theory training before then we do offer a discount of £30 to those students who take the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship Course (online) with us. Useful Tip: If you do this short introductory course first, you get a free plotter and dividers with the RYA course pack. The RYA Day Skipper course pack doesn’t include these tools so you have to buy them yourself separately. You don’t have to do Essential Navigation & Seamanship before Day Skipper; it’s just a useful option. Many people find it helpful to get to grips with some of the basics right now.
